- Explore The Lake Griffin State Park aboard The Pearl a 22 passenger pontoon boat with a covered top, restroom, cushioned seats, and limited binoculars available for each tour.
The tour will start down a narrow canal that is approximately 1/5 of a mile long and easy to view wildlife on both sides of the boat in the water and on the banks up close. Then out to the dead river and follow along it for about 1 mile. While on the tour we normally see many kinds of birds, including bald eagles at times. Some other common things we see are alligators, turtles and manatees. You will also see cypress trees, oak tree’s and palm trees, in addition to a large variety of plant life. The interpretive guide will point out the different wildlife and vegetation along with information about it, as well tell some of the history of the waterways we will be cruising.
